Yes, it is all about YOU! No joke!

When it comes to self-care the only person you need to be concerned about is you and your needs. (duh)

As you begin to move forward on your path, remember that everything you do is essentially for you. Yes, family, friends, etc… are all factors in your life. But, in the end it is your choice what you choose to do with your days.

If fitness is a goal in which you wish to attain (or keep going) make sure that you are doing it for the right reasons = you. Everyone has a different level of fitness that they wish to achieve, and no one is better than the other. Do what works for you.

The first step is to simply BEGIN. Make conscious choices every day as to what you are putting in your body, what you are doing for your body physically, and what you are doing for your body mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. And by conscious choices what I really mean is = be aware.

I’m not huge into diets. I believe in eating what you want, when you want, but doing so in moderation, which really means simply being aware of quantity. Yes, making healthier choices as to what is going in your mouth will make your overall fitness goals easier, but if you have a hankering = indulge it (just not to excess).

The best thing you can do for yourself is: BE CONSISTENT Every-Single-Day.

Do something to get yourself active (every day). Eat nutritious, real foods (every day). Consume good water (every day — and I prefer distilled water). And, if you need a small indulgence after dinner, go for it (one of my faves is one square of dark chocolate with caramel and sea salt — it satisfies the craving in one small treat).

Be patient with yourself. Love your journey. Enjoy every day.
